Death, Dying and Bereavement Counselling Services

Welcome to my practice of healing and understanding, where I provide compassionate counselling for those navigating the complex emotions surrounding grief, bereavement and end-of-life care. In addition, I have taken a specific focus surrounding Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD), where I lead from both a professional and peer perspective.

My goal is to offer a safe, non-judgmental space for you to explore your feelings, fears, and experiences surrounding loss. I am trained in evidence-based modalities tailored to address bereavement, anticipatory grief, and the complexities associated with end-of-life choices. I foster an environment of trust and compassion, ensuring you feel supported every step of the way.

a little about me..

Hello! My name Alysia Morrow (she/her), MSW., RSW. I am a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. I am also registered with the Ontario Association of Social Workers.

Over the course of my career, I have completed my BA (couples and family therapy) at the University of Waterloo; Bachelor of Social Work at the University of Victoria; and Master of Social Work at the University of Toronto. I am currently completing a certificate at Laurier University in Death, Dying and Bereavement, with a special focus on MAiD.

Aside from my area of focus surrounding death & bereavement, my areas of practice include: mental health, LGBTQ+, and mood & anxiety. My work is rooted in anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, intersectional LGBTQ+ and cultural values. In addition to my practice, I work full-time in the field of forensic mental health, completing assessments of criminal responsibility and risk assessments.
